MANILA, Philippines — On Thursday afternoon in Calatagan, Batangas, twelve persons were brought to a hospital after becoming ill after eating fried chicken.
The victims, according to the police, were workers at a chicken farm in Barangay Biga. They were rushed to the Calatagan Medicare Center after experiencing stomach pain, lightheadedness, and vomiting.
According to reports, the victims purchased the fried chicken from a fast food establishment in Balayan town. The chicken, they claimed, smelled bad.
To be examined, samples of the fried chicken were brought to the regional laboratory.
