Philippines’ MANILA Captivating Katkat, a veteran of Filipino drag, added to history by taking first place in the second season of “Drag Race Philippines.”
Along with other finalists Bernie and M1ss Jade, the drag queen They were also the first trans competitors in the race; there were three transwomen in the finals for the first time in “Drag Race” history.
In the first Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown, Katkat defeated Bernie in a close contest while performing “Just What They Want” by RuPaul, however in the second Smackdown, Jade was defeated by Cubao queen Arizona Brandy in a crazy competition while performing “Who Is She?” by RuPaul.

After Katkat was declared the champion by host-judge Paolo Ballesteros, Precious Paula Nicole, another O-Bar artist, bestowed the title.
Hana Beshie of Cagayan de Oro received the title of Miss Congeniality during the show’s conclusion, replacing last year’s champion Lady Morgana of Davao and giving Mindanao queens back-to-back victories.
Katkat is the next drag superstar in the Philippines and the winner of “Drag Race Philippines Season 2,” earning P1 million in prize money and a year’s worth of Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup.
On her way to winning the title, Katkat earned two RuBadges, including one for her portrayal of Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte in the well-known Snatch Game episode. She also participated in an emotional Double Shantay with Bernie that kept them from losing.
