The missing Catherine Camilon, bet of Miss Grand Philippines

Five days after her sister posted about it on social media, Catherine Camilon, the bet of Miss Grand Philippines, was formally declared missing.

“Intensified efforts” were ordered on October 18 by Police Colonel Samson Belmonte, the Director of the Batangas Police Provincial Office, in order to ascertain the whereabouts of the subject.

Belmonte also took note of the following information regarding the 26-year-old contestant for a beauty pageant.

A high school teacher who lives in Barangay Rillo, Tuy, Batangas, is 5.6 inches tall and has white skin.
The provincial police claim that Catherine drove from their property on October 12 in a Nissan Juke bearing license plate NEI 2990.

She told her mother she was at a petrol station in Bauan, Batangas, during their final chat.

Based on Google Maps, the distance from her hometown in Tuy is about an hour’s trip.

The Batangas police gave their word that every one of its units and stations is “working together” on this matter.

The province police stated, “Every station and unit in Batangas Police Province is collaborating with the Tuy Municipal Police Station in the hunt for any trace or information regarding the whereabouts of CATHERINE CAMILON Y MANGUERRA.”

The statement said, “Anyone with trustworthy information may report to the Tuy Municipal Police Station by calling their station hotline, 0998-598-5711.”
Representing her home province, Catherine competed in the Miss Grand International pageant on a national level.

Nikki de Moura of Cagayan de Oro took home the top prize and went on to represent the Philippines in the MGI tournament held in Vietnam this year.

What is currently known
Chin-Chin Camilon, the sister of Catherine, posted a request for assistance on Facebook on October 13 from her sister’s coworkers on her whereabouts.

Chin-Chin mentioned that they last spoke on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Since then, she had switched off her phone.

“Hindi din po nag-o-online, palagi po [siya nag-u-update] sa amin, ngayon lang po talaga hindi,” she posted.

Rose Camilon, their mother, verified these details in a radio broadcast, stating that Catherine traveled to Batangas City ostensibly for a meeting with a company where she functioned as a “talent.”

Reports regarding this occurrence did not name this company.

Rose added that Thursday, the day Catherine departed, was the family’s last conversation with her.

She was still in contact with the model at around three in the morning on Friday. Since then, she has not provided any updates.

The mother-in-law further stated that, despite her daughter’s lack of communication, she knew she was going through something.

Later, according to ABS-CBN News, Catherine was captured on camera strolling through a Lemergy, Batangas mall. Hours had passed since her relatives had last spoken to her.
