Two-year engagement disclosed by Lovi Poe, also seen as an Italy wedding

Philippines’ Manila Lovi Poe thanked her friends for protecting her greatest secret, which was that she had been engaged to scientist Monty Blencowe for two years prior to the couple’s announcement of their engagement and August wedding.

Yesterday, the actress was in front of the media to introduce the newest line of jewelry from the Imono company.

“Yun na lang nga. While we’re at it, I was engaged for two years prior to my announcement. What makes me nakaka-proud, you ask? Many of my pals are aware. The people I had previously invited were already aware of my lengthy engagement and walang lumabas,” Lovi disclosed.

She described how her friends deliberately tried to conceal her engagement, even refusing to discuss it within their mutual circle of acquaintances.

“I told you, the people I work with are very amazing. It’s a friendship test, right? Nothing leaked until I made the announcement. Okay, so. After two years. I’m overjoyed that my pals were unaware of it and chose to keep quiet about it,” she continued.

When showbiz writers asked talent manager Jun Lalin if the actress was getting married, he had to pretend not to know. Lalin had attended her wedding in England last August. The invitation reached him half a year ahead of the wedding.

Lovi expressed her gratitude to her friends and family for maintaining the secrecy. She wanted to tell everyone about the finest news she had ever received, but she held it back out of consideration for Monty and his family, whom she called “very private.”

Italian ideal nuptials
The actress also disclosed her intention to wed in Italy. She and Monty traveled around Italy, including visiting Lake Como, the site of the idyllic destination wedding.

“We visited a lot of locations. I share with you, too. I had dreamed of getting married in Italy two years prior to the big day. When we initially got together in England, we searched up Cliveden and that’s where we spotted the first place. After that, we took a plane to Italy, where we visited Lake Como and a number of other places to see which would be the ideal location for our wedding. In the end, we decided on the first one we saw… Furthermore, there is another location in Sicily. “Young people,” she said.

In the end, they married in England in August of last year.

Lovi claimed that both she and Monty had to work hard and as a team.

While preparing for her wedding, she was taping for her show, “Batang Quiapo”. The same is true for Monty, the scientist.

There I was, on the set. Hard work, that. It was laborious, but fortunately, my spouse is very involved and encouraging. God, Kumbaga, that was the perfect location for a wedding. Recognize what I mean?

“It was just so perfect that he was saying, ‘This is the best place for a wedding and I think it will be memorable.'” Although I didn’t want to push this kind of place, it was him who said that I would deserve it. So I got it from him. I’m overjoyed. That was the beginning,” she continued.

Despite having a wedding planner, she and Monty personally selected every detail, including the food and beverages.

“Teamwork is the key. His taste is not the same as mine. Thus, it is possible to merge ‘yun. That was a prime illustration of us coming together in the middle,” Lovi remarked.
