First week of October shows 1,264 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines

The DOH stated in a bulletin that from October 2 to October 8, an average of 181 cases were reported every day. When compared to the cases recorded between September 25 and October 1, the agency saw that this average was 3% higher.

Twelve of the extra cases had serious and life-threatening conditions.

Of all COVID-19 admissions in the nation, 272 patients were in severe or critical situations, making up 9% of the total.

Only 12.2% of the 1,524 beds in intensive care units and 18.4% of the 12,496 non-ICU beds were occupied, according to department of health figures.
