Philippines’ MANILA Five local government units around the nation will now have special non-working holidays, according to Malacaang.
The holidays were mentioned in separate proclamations issued by President Marcos last month and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
Infanta, Pangasinan, has a special non-working holiday on October 4 to mark the town’s 147th anniversary of establishment. Proclamation No. 349 contained the declaration.
In Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, Proclamation No. 347 designated October 5 as a special day off work so that locals could commemorate the town’s 139th founding anniversary.
